finally

Yes I know it seems like forever but we finally got the new car today.

I took the morning off and walked the half hour to the car yard arriving right on opening at 10am only to be told it was not there and the stereo that is was away having fixed was unfix able. Cue sad girly face...I then suggested that we really did expect a stereo with the car and could they pirate one from one of their other cars. Turns out there was another Astra with a nice Sony CD player/stereo very nice but sadly had to be fitted in the car therefore not ready till 2.00pm.

So I rang the school said I was not coming at all and then I had the rest of the day to potter. Came back home, checked my emails, talked to C who was recovering from a night out dancing to celebrate the end of study and exams. And then wandered off to the waterfront where I had a vegetarian scotch egg and a salad for lunch sitting in the sun reading my book.I quite like this not working.

Finally they called, and Joe who had come back on the train from Western super Mare and I coordinated buses so that I would go past on one he could catch and, we went and got the car

Seems OK so far, being diesel it has a throaty sort of noise to it bit like his trusty old toyota.

Joe is packing, he is off to London tomorrow, and I will join him for the weekend.

hmm shopping.
