Went for a wander this morning and there was the BBC nature fair on the waterfront. Did a survey and got 2 nice cotton bags , and a jute one, so I'll be set for shopping and not using plastic. They had live owls and wolves and bugs that you could have a go at handling and filming. There were lots of tents encouraging a concern for the environment and wildlife. And just for Shirl a food fair of yummy things, we got a couple of pies for our tea, a vege black bean, chili, sweet potato for me and a chicken Thai green curry lime one for him.A jammy dodger which is like a big shrewsberry, 2 choc brownies and some creamy blue cheese and a jar of chutney. We had smoothies ( but not the wheat grass) and then wandered home. Very pleasant way to spend part of Sunday.
They are filming "Casualty" again this time they have "had the explosion" so lots of people lying around with wounds and having dust blown in the hair so they look genuine. They are right outside our window so I can watch without leaving my chair, they are doing the tent triage scenes at the moment. St Mary's bells are going as its Sunday I wonder if they will wait the 40 minutes or screen the sound out at the studio.
Seem to spend hours standing around then a trial take then a real take then a followup, sooo boring if you are in it. Was funny watching the actors running, screaming, bleeding, hurt etc and then when out of shot all better again.
