Leaving party

I had a lovely day today , I got Champagne, chocolate biscuits and chocolate mini cake thingies. And lots of hugs and "we will miss you"s . My last day at this school is now over, I did some tidy up and the big handover of all the documents etc that I have created, and then this afternoon helped the publicity officer do some adverts for Open night.
Nice picture included of the office staff I worked with on a daily basis.
Then home early and then drinks with the men from P's office that were seeing off his boss on his honeymoon.
At home and he is on the phone to power companies always the best time when you have had a couple of beers to deal with a call centre or two. Up shot is that we don't pay the bill we have got for the landlord and wait for the next one. The company we signed up with in May still have not sent an account so far we have paid nothing to anyone.

There is a malicious comment on the last blog which I need to comment on
The writer who shall not be named but is a small furry person from a windy city in a northern island in the land of the long white cloud. We had the misfortune to both have a university holiday job in a paper/stationery company and we did stuff with paper. Fun things like make calendars by walking round and round a table picking up pages and collating them, we also sorted the coloured indices for folders.( I still look fondly on the pink blue green yellow etc when I use them) One of us was speedy and got through a lot of work in a day but maybe not as thorough as the other who was slower but concise and allowed to use cutting machines. For many years now the writer has been able to have a bit of a go at the slower more precise person as she was a favorite of the said forewoman Molly who could see a successor in the making. Happily for the world of computer programming ( another field were the meticulous approach is required) the said commenter left the world of paper sorting behind. But to summarise never have I been talked to for being too slow, too fast.. maybe...

Hmmm. We've been here since May and still haven't received a power bill from our new company. The old supplier wants us to pay L98 for a month so I rang them and said we wouldn't be paying that. He agreed! (The contract isn't with us anyway so what are they going to do - cut us off?) Why we haven't had a bill from the new company is perplexing.
