Well I had my first day as a Business Manager in a big secondary school just out of Bristol.
The man I am replacing is on stress leave... there were piles of paper deep all over all the desks
I managed to deposit some of it in the recycle bin.
The job is very similar just different names for funding sources etc. and different accounting package. Am working on the budget and all the staffing needs to be changed to a new salary system so plenty of work .
I have 2 finance officers who sit in the office outside mine and a Personal assistant to do the filing and organisation for me.
My office is lovely in a building finished in December I have a desk plus a conference table ( sadly can't see it for paper..) my very own hard hat and safety vest? and a metal detector of the sort that beach combers use..very strange wonder what part of my job that is for.
The people I work with seem very nice and if it becomes annoying I will just remember the money. With P having his first day working as well ( not too bad) we finally earned some money I wonder when we get to see it in the bank. We are at an internet cafe on the other side of the square from us as we still have no internet as you need the internet to sign up for it doh!
The flat is settled now we just need little things, it has rained every day since we moved in so haven't been able to appreciate it facing the sunny side.

This is the kitchen window the sill is 700cm wide I could live up there, will get a plant for it, the morning sun comes in here tyhen moves to the loubge and bedroom.
Weird last night the local church played its bells for over an hour, all sorts of tunes, very loud glad I wasn't trying to sleep.

the 4th floor we have a nice open view .and last is our bedroom with the duvet all the way from Dunedin even the right colour for the decor...

Mid terms coming up so I am sure she is very busy studying.
