I have taken some photos of Portishead the village that Gordano School is in. It is a lovely village and one the people commute to from Bristol, as its only 20 minutes out of town.
It has some beautiful old houses and those lanes with no footpaths and room for only one car. Each lunchtime I go for a walk down to the centre, post stuff home ( another parcel on the way C and O) and enjoy the view. There is a farm on the way with chickens and ducks wandering about and very keen to say hello is you show the slightest interest.

Am enjoying the work although it's way more than I thought it would be. I am reassessing the pay for the entire Support staff of 69 people and some do not want to be assessed! Still rang the agency and asked them to negotiate more money as they want me to stay another 6 weeks at least. ( will go for L20 per hour or $60). Then when the job stops I will have some cash in the bank. Picture is my office , I haven't had a chance to wear the flouro vest and hard hat yet, but have used the walki talki.
Observations of England, they like curly hair... I know, who would have thought, but here if you have curls you just leave them be, not hours of straightening, quite odd to see girls at school with flowing locks and natural ringlets even.
Other thing we have noticed is that having a row in public is quite common, young women having a go at "naughty" men. The women scream and yell and wave their arms seemingly oblivious to the people around them, the same on a the cell phone they seem to think they are in a privacy cone and that we can't hear the intimate details of their lives.... BUT we can.
Day off today and we are going to Bath to meet Clive and Marilyn, have a day there then back here for the night , then they head off for Devon tomorrow. It's a glorious sunny and hot day so perfect for sightseeing.
