Bridge day

Well we finally went over the suspension bridge, we had gone to visit intending to walk over as himself did not want to pay the 50p toll and through some wonderful navigating we ended up in the toll lane on the bridge,so we had to go across, we got to the other side did a U turn paid another 50p and went back. Then found a park, miracles do happen, an all day free park at that. We then wandered about Clifton Village, in a few shops, had lunch, it was a lovely sunny day so quite pleasant.

Then back to the bridge to walk across and back P not a lover of heights so looked out not down. It is exceedingly high. Then to a building on the hill that turned out to lead to a cave in the hill side with a wee platform so we went down narrow windy low cave stairs ( lovely picture of me doing just that, no comments required thanks) and out into the sunshine, the platform was see through and very high., can you see P's white knuckles. The catholics used it for a chapel in the 1500's before the cave was dug out, they must have climbed down the hill, fairly safe from the enemy there.A painter decided he wanted a vantage point and hired some tin miners to dig a tunnel and for three years they toiled away until now any one can go through ( for 1 pound)
It was a long way down the cliff face to the muddy Avon below, because is tidal it seems to be mud then lots of water then mud again.
We now have skype all we need is someone to talk to.....
