Lovely sunny Day on Saturday so we spent half it in shops looking for a new mattress.
then went to C & M for a yummy BBQ , helped decorate a cardboard house with M
lots of sellotape sticking on leaves and flowers. And some exciting games of piggy in the middle.
Today we bought a mattress after much agony and sleepless nights P has not slept well since we got here. Finally spent the money and bought a decent one ( seems a shame when we might not be here long, went to all the big stores then got it in Bedminster the local suburb which had the best range and I got a memory foam pillow (70pnd at Debenhams) and free delivery and 20pnd off so all in all was a good deal looking forward to trying out the pillow.
Not a lot of excitement otherwise.
We are negotiating a house sit in Sicily 2 weeks in November in a three story villa normally rents for E2500 per week so very posh. They are going to India for 2 weeks and want us to mind the villa ( all to ourselves) and babysit 3 dogs ( this would suit my friend Ros) 2 of the dogs don't like each other so a roster system is in place for keeping them apart.... still 2 weeks nice villa.
Work only 2 weeks to go and I have a new task a business plan for community use of the schools facilities hmm don't think that can be done in 2 weeks.

Hi Jude - just writing to say how much I am enjoying your blog (and Perry's). However, the mattress situation prompted me to respond. For (unknown to most people) -I work with a 'mattress connoisseur'. This lady bought a new bed 2 years ago on the understanding that if it was not comfortable it could be exchanged - and it was exchanged - seven times - now the bed shop (in exasperation no doubt) have given her free range to choose any mattress in the store she chooses. She has finally ended up with a $6,000 mattress which is padded individually on each side and SUPER comfortable no doubt. So there we go - should I write to your bed supplier and tell him to Watch Out?? Anyway seriously - glad to hear things are going well and enjoy!!
Love Judy and Paul
