Ireland :Dublin cont

Next day in Dublin we did a walking tour of the 1916 Easter Uprising "hot spots" a University lecturer took the walk. (more on P's site for sure) The post Office that was the base for the rebels has been rebuilt to the style it was at the time of the uprising ( reminded me of the one in Palmerston North)

That night we went to a bar that had a comedy show, was more like theatre sports some funny moments but not a huge laugh. The "arms are on the front of the pub opposite the one we were in)

Went for a train ride to Bray ( down the coast) was a bit bleak but apparently very popular in the real summer, was a nice long beach but all stones. Had a lovely meal at an Italian restaurant where I got to "babysit " 7 month old Cameron while his mum ate her meal ( we were on bench seats along the side of a room so her seat was by mine. They were a lovely family in the area for over 300 years and we had a great time talking about Ireland and NZ.they had 19 year old right down to the 7 month old, good catholics maybe, the family had erected a huge cross on the top of the hill in the "Year of Marion" 1950 something.
This was a name we passed on the train just seemed Irish.....
