a new week

Had a lovely meal out at the weekend at a workmates of P's.Lots of nice vege food for me, and the daughter of the house is a vege as well. They had a room in the house for their collections, she has one wall with lovely display cases all lit with Disc world figures ( Terry Pratchett novel characters) and he had the other wall bursting with soft penguins. It is always nice when collectors can meet then they can understand the drive to collect. We gave them one of the pewter penguins P's mum got for us in chch.
Very nice house in the suburbs quite different to centre city. He had been a top sales manager for a big record company and had awards for the platinum sale etc that he had achieved, and was full of anecdotes and stories. It was a lovely evening .

Had 2 interview on Monday and both went well I am 89% sure of getting the one in Bath as a school bursar they will let me know after governors meeting on Wednesday, and the hen and stag one , the girl I met was lovely, I even picked her out in the cafe, she was the one on her own with a full coffee. she is a temp there but is leaving and wants to organise a replacement. the business is quite new and the person ( since left) who was the accountant kept telling them it was all going well when in fact she had not been paying all the bills. Now their cash flow is down and they have to pay selected creditors each time. Would have enjoyed having a go at setting up the systems but there is no job till January and then not sure how long for etc so better to take a sure thing.

drive to Bath took 45 minutes to go the 9 miles wont do that again the train takes 11 minutes, but there is a hill at the other end up to the school that looks like a windy wellington one. The school is in 4 old Georgian houses and a new block ( which is still a couple of 100 years old ) and on a second site down the hill. very beautiful area cost a fortune to live there and parking almost impossible. Still it is on Tuesday and if I take it /offered it I wont start till Monday so and checking out what is on in the area and will go have a look around.
Might go back to Glastonbury tomorrow and have a look in daylight.
Bought some sparkly xmas lights and have put them round the fake fig tree in the corner, very festive. Might cheer himself up, he is a bit bored at work and does not come home talking a million miles an hour about v lookup tables any more, funny how it goes feast or famine....then again he is the one with bah humbug in his blog so maybe xmas lights are not his thing, too late they look lovely up.
Hugs to all J
