Trains

This one is a Kiwi.
A bit of bother with the trains this week, running late and not arriving at all.

Normally I leave home 7.25 ( I know so early) walk to Temple Meads train station get a free paper and a cup of coffee and am ready on platform 15 for the 7.50 to Weston super Mare.

The train arrives and the back 2 carriages are detached to become the 7.55 to Cardiff central.

Bit odd yesterday when it monitor said that the Cardiff train was delayed but our one wasn't, how can that be when they are joined then the computer said our one was cancelled so lots of people went off to find an alternative, next blip on the computer we were back on and sure enough it arrived 5 minutes later...it left at 10 past but they still called it the 7.50.

Today on the screen the Cardiff one was again delayed and we were on time hmm.. we all waited and waited and still it said we were on time, it was now 8.15 so hard to see how that could work. Eventually someone came up with getting a train from another platform that went through Weston so we all trooped over there. According to the monitor the 7.50 was on time but when we left at 8.25 it still had not arrived.
While I was waiting in the second train a fuss was happening on the one next door where a passenger was refusing to get off, took 2 guards and the police man to persuade him.

Then work was a good day helped in a personal grievance and changed the staffing structure of the office.

Really cold in the mornings though, it is like Central Otago frosts, everyone wears hats and scarves and the fields and trees looks lovely.
I have an interview on Monday with KPMG, the huge accounting firm, to be a Unit Trust Accountant . A job I haven't done since before Claire was born so might be a tad rusty, we will see . I am only agreed to the interview because their office is 2 blocks away and I can sleep in then walk to work. It is all through an agency and they are very keen ( as they always are).

Went out for meal as it is Friday and we have been frugal all week. To Que Pasa, I had the tortillas, nice system they bring an earthenware pot with 4 warm tortillas, a pan of cooked peppers mushrooms and onion and a tray of salsa, guacamole, sour cream, cheese and salad. And you make you own to suit. Very good.
Tomorrow we are going to Glastonbury for the day and a festival at night will report back with pictures. Well done C a B+ for her first end of year result, management paper. Her Uni year has finished already and she is working full time to save up for the visit to UK.
