Aquina and Alartri

Morning he spent labeling all the shots from the cross country trip and then we headed off for a tourist jaunt.

First to Aquino , home of St Thomas. A very nice town seemed very well to do, had a medieval old town and Mark Anthony's triumphant arch.
The on to Alatri ( and other hill top towns ) In this area are many hill top walled towns still in original condition. Alatri was great, huge thick walls and views for miles. The churches are so big and decorated with massive paintings or murals.and always nice and cold in side.

There was gateways into the old city that were square rather that the arches we normally see, as the arch had not been "invented" yet.

Then once we had our fill of history and massive buildings we headed back.

Himself went a bit mad when driving home as the road signs gave no indication of where we needed to turn to get home and he drove about getting more confused and disorientated, then he ended up making an impulse turn into a one way street.

I took over and drove based on the moon needing to be in the front left of the car... don't laugh it worked and we got home safely.
