we went out to a nice cafe for brunch and then I went to town to try and get something for C's 20th birthday but town was horribly crowded, do not know why but it was queues everywhere. Gave up and went home.
Sunday up and off to Peebles, they were having a food fair. After 1 hours drive we got there it was a very nice town with a huge ( and apparently very popular) spa hotel. The area has the tweed river running through it and has salmon fishing and lots of walks.
We went to the fair had some free samples bought lunch and went to sit in the local park beside
the Tweed. Sadly it began to rain so we headed off.
Drove past Neidpath castle I got P to stop so I could go back and look, ended up running along a narrow road with a stone wall and a cliff on one side and fast traffic on the other. Silly thing is once back in the car we drove about 50mtrs and there was a great view!.
Drove into the countryside and we did a forest walk.
We stopped at a bookshop in a nice village and at the artificial ski slope where kids were whizzing down and great speed and other groups were learning to snow plow.
Then home .
Just heard the first christmas advert.

We all fine here, job at this school just so so, kids all good and only 3 months till Christmas! Are you back at some stage, would love to catch up. Called in at OG's the other day, they miss me but seem just as usual.
Take care, love to P and yourself
