Thursday and friday

Fest 4 Thursday
Spent all morning waiting for the washing machine guy, he arrived at 1.30, it was the plug on the wall. When we plugged it into a different one it went and at last washing started. Now an electrician has to come and fix the broken one.
P had gone to town at 10.30 to see a recruitment place then he headed off to the library.
About 2.00 I was sick of being at home and walked into the centre of town tried to find some shoes that don't leak, my boots leak and my other shoes are either heeled or summery. Could not find any, maybe trendy gumboots will be the go.
Then I met himself and we went to see if we could get any free show tickets. At the second venue we got some for an hour later so we went to an italian restaurant and had dessert and lovely coffee.
Saves time later if you have dessert 3 hours before dinner.
Then to the show Goodbye goodbye about a team that did murder for hire. Was very good a lot of talking to the audience not trying to be a show more an interactive comedy if that makes sense.
Then home and it has finally stopped raining. The Leith is high and we have 3 footballs, a frisbie and assorted flotsam in eddies on the other side of the water.
Friday
We headed off to the other side of the Firth of Forth over the great big Firth Road Bridge. A drive up the coast to Methil. After struggling with the numbering which went both North and South from a central point , how dumb is that, we found the house listed as being her parents home.
Then we went to the local library where we had a go at finding any more details , but I don't know enough. Then we went for a drive to look around then back tot the library which had a room set up for researching family records. Managed to look at the newspapers of the time ans saw lots of adverts for great granddads dances and shows, he was a theatre proprietor.
Then we went back to the house as our researching showed that the house was upstairs and below was the big dance hall. Went in and it was still a venue for dances and wedding receptions etc. The lady unlocked the back and let us in and told us the owners family had worked then from great granddads time. Also that an old lady ( about 90) have visited from San Francisco as she had been a dancer in the shows all those years ago.
Coming home we drove through Burntisland which had masses and masses of holiday homes of the fixed caravans on a hill type, must have hundreds of them in about 3 different parks.
It was a big beach, a nasty circus and those amusement arcades that the Uk like so much.
Must be 10.30 the canons have sounded up at the tattoo.
Now we are home I am going to do some more research on the web and see what I can find.
