fest day 3

we managed a day at home trying to get hot water in the washing machine, a repair girl came round and she could not get it to go so to morrow it the big team the blokes are coming. I better brew some tea so it will strong by morning.
Interesting building just round the corner

then we went to town at 4.30

Saw a preview show of 4 acts all terrible thank goodness we had not paid

Then a free comic for an hour I think it was his first year he was funny but hopeless, made a couple leave during the show as he said that their grumpy faces were depressing and they obviously hated the show so could they go...
he had paedophile, rape, and spastic jokes so not for everyone, do not think we will see him on the telly any day soon.
he ran out of jokes before his hour was up so we all just left!

then the next show was the Time magazine play of the year and it was reenactment of what is was like in airplane cockpits when the plane was crashing based on the black box recorder..... not a happy show they did 6 crashes with a high death toll all up.

then when we came out we were handed free tickets to an Aussie woman comic who was really highly rated and has won awards she was funny, effortless delivery , jokes about her 5 kids and 7 brothers and sisters etc. They seem to hand tickets out to all the shows if you are there at the right time.. to get a buzz apparently word of mouth started so they can sell more.
with 300 shows a day there must be some empty venues.

finally home at 10.30 for dinner!
Town just coming alive with all the younger ones heading out for the late shows.

Picture of a memorial meant to be a replica of the pathenon but the scots ran out of money!
