We had a nice breakfast at a local bar and then headed off to Edinburgh Castle.
We spent about 4 hours wandering about taking in the crown jewels, the royal apartments of Mary Queen of Scots and the prison cells where the Americans caught in the war of independance were held prisoner.
In the grand hall a man was doing "living history" where he portrayed Mary's chamberlain. At one part of his spiel he had a wee boy called Joe run P through with a rapier.
Lovely picture of Linda with a big gun.
Fantastic views from the castle all around the area, made it a good defencive position, it was never taken by force only by siege and deceit when bad people let the enemy in.
