At one stage we had to text Claire to ask what made up a Haiku, the Japanese poem format,Form is 17 syllables in three lines with pattern: first line, 5 syllables; second line 7 syllables; third line, 5 syllables
Sweeping into the pan
the narrow line of dust
that defies its edge.
is an example, feel free to make up your own.
Then a meal at a place called "International starters" all the food is entree... starter size and they just bring it as it is cooked so you are meant to order more than one and everyone just eats.... I had a yummy platter of hot vege which came on a roasting stone, it came with 4 soft tortilla, guacamole, salsa, sour cream and cheese..and you assembled your own treat.
For dessert everyone else had choc sponge cake and I had bananas and ice cream.
Then home.
Today was one of the worst drives ever to work as the roads had a lot of water from the overnight rain, and the spray on the motoway was thicker than our bathroom shower.
Then a days work and at 6 we were due to go to a pub in
town to meet p's workmates again..6.30 came and went and only us and 1 other, 7.00 came and went and so did we.. back home. But only after P slipped on the wet floor and both feet flew up and he lay down full length on the wet lino... was a bit scary seeing him go down like that.We got home about 7.30 when we got a message to say someone had now arrived and at 10.30 tonight P got a call to say there were now 3 people there and the original person we were with was now very drunk having been there since 5.00.
I offered P the chance to go back out but he is sitting in the warm playing on his computer. ( not that I was going).
