We had some lovely days here in Bristol with the sun shining everyday. We went up to see Clifton Bridge and the boys slid down the stone cliffy bit and we wandered about Clifton. C getting better still a bit headcoldy. P went back to work and the three of us had a day trip to Bath and Wells, Oren was especially please with Wells as they filmed "Hot Fuzz" there and we got lots of matching photos of the scenes.
Also stopped at a Book Barn which was a huge warehouse in the middle of the counrtyside, we spent a happy hour wandering the stacks and O got a couple of Ian Fleming books.
We had a picnic in the Queens square with P and one evening work got a ferry to the end of the harbour and then walked back, and got some nice sunset shots.
Headed off to London after work on Tuesday and after going up and down the M4 having to go to exits and turn around and then down the other side, our hotel was in an exit on the other side. Next morning up to be at the airport before 4.30am as the travel schedule had that as check in closing and it turned out to opening then.....
Finally time came to say goodbye and it was hugs all round and I have promised to go to NZ for xmas this year.
It was a wonderful visit I wish we were a lot closer to NZ and we could see more of each other.
Just got an email to say that they are stuck in Los Angeles the flight they had down as today is actually in 24 hours ie tomorrow. The connection must have been booked not allowing for the dateline or something. They have checked into a hotel, but all their bags clothes etc have gone to Auckland as they were checked through. Claire is a bit worried her bags will go round and round the baggage carosel till they get there a day later.
