Chutney

After a full weeks work me doing what I do and himself painting corridors.

Then today we ( well me) decided to make to use some of the 4 trees worth of apples to make chutney. Quick search of the internet for a recipe and away we went . We used 6 big green apples, 2 onion, sultanas and a lovely mix of spice ( I added Garum Marsala to give it an indian hint).
Both chopping away, the fresh apples go brown as soon as cut, I wonder if that is because they have not been in a fridge or had sprays etc.?

Some simmering later we got 6 jars of yummy tasting chutney, even without the 2 months in the cupboard it tastes great.

Will give the preserving pan back to Hilary with a jar to say thanks.
So domestic we be.

This weekend we will spend Saturday at the Bristol Balloon Festival http://www.bristolfiesta.co.uk/video.php

We will spend all day as there will be air force plane acrobatics, plus all the balloons, and at 9.30 the light them all up for a Glow.

I am sure we will post some photos on the blog.....
