Easy flight over no problems, Then we got the train to Coimbra, a nice trip. We got adopted by a local and shown where to get our tickets, strangers have been so nice to us lost looking tourists.We are now in the housesit and having a lovely time, We are in a lovely house on a ridge so have all day sun and massive views of the mountains and valleys.

It has been hot and sunny , blue skies every day. We went to a local restaurant a couple of time and then yesterday P and I went to Coja and had a coffee and cake E3,10 for the 2 of us so very cheap.Janice Pete and Me at lunch by the river
Today we headed on a sightseeing trip so went up to the top of the local mountain range. The car is right hand drive which is easier than you might imagine as the driver lines up with the side of the road and the passenger gets to be in the middle of the road. Nice to have car provided! Even if it did breakdown. We stopped to take photos and it would not start, rang Pete and he told us to just sit for 15 mins and it would be fine... and it was the starter motor which overheats... weird
Up to the tops where they are still skiing so we had lunch up there, They must of wondered at Perry in shorts and jandals ( good kiwi) walking about in the sn
ow!They hosts left today driving back to Bristol via Spain and a ferry to Portsmouth.
What a trip.
All on our own now, I have weeded the front garden so it looks nicer and now we are just blobbing and blogging!
And bon voyage to Glenda and Russell leaving NZ to come over here.
