Last weekend

Well we are packed, lots of boxes and those chinese stripy bags. Looking at it all I think it would have been a squeeze to get in the Astra , well ok it would not have all fit.

This weekend we have had sunshine and today heavy snow showers, weird weather.

Went for a walk to the Links and they had flowers down the sides of all the paths and around the ourside of the park, looked amazing, an aerial photo would have been nice.

No sign of the car, insurance payout is a pathetic £350 then they take off the excess of £100 so only £250, we will never get another one for that price......Might join the car club instead, they have cars parked all over the place and you once you belong you book the car then use it and return to the park. There are 2 cars outside our local tesco. You just use them as you need them, worth looking into anyway.

Had a good quiz night on Thursday with P's ex workmates sadly we were rubbish and 4th last, then had to say our farewells.

Janice says the weather in Portugal is anything from 7 to 25deg  often on the same day so will need to pack all sorts of choices.

I have booked a hotel in London, for when we get back on the 16 April, for 2 nights so we can spend time with G and R from Dunedin, NZ. By then we should know where we are going to live for the next year.

This will be my last blog from Scotland, never did play golf  such a shame all these courses, and I  never tried haggis ( they have a vegetarian version!?). Might come back for a golf and spa weekend when I have more money. It is a lovely city and it has been nice to research all the family that was here before me.  Off to the cemetery to see great grandad and grandma to plant the bulbs we have here, the caretaker has weedwacked the top off the heather plant I put in!
