P had his first trip to Italy scouting for sites to film, he went with a production manager ( Emma) and he drove and drove all around the hills of Bologna. He tells me the hotel was really nice with a balcony and large marble bathroom. Mind you in Italy every one has marble.
He got back on Friday night and went out for dinner with the production team for the second episode he is now doing and then to his hotel. sadly the room had an electrical fault so they put him in a limo and sent him to their other london hotel where he had a room on the 11th floor and being afraid of heights he had to crawl around the edges of the room all night, no really it would have been a great view apart from the fog.
Finally on to a train for Leeds I met him at the station and then he headed off to Hockey.
(he missed the game but as he had left his boots in the hall at home maybe that was a good thing )
Has spent the week being tired and trying to prepare for the next trip away.
finally got the details tonight and the production assistant has booked him to fly out at 7.40 tomorrow from Manchester and a taxi to collect him at 5.30 AM to get there... a bit early for my liking
then he arrives in Rome drives drives drives
sleep
then drive drive drive to Florence
Sleep
up for 8am flight into London by 11 and on train home for saturday afternoon
I hardly get time to miss him and he will be veryyyy tired he has not recovered from the last trip yet
I have booked us a weekend away with the Cottles ( from Bath) in Oxfordshire with a free enty to Blenheim Palace
and we have another trip away with them and the couple that stayed with us for new year in london to go Fell walking ( I dont know what that is either) but we have two cottages that weekend.
And our 10 days in Italy.
Nice to have things to look forward to... and Claire and Blair arriving in September..
