Ruddigore

What is that you say?
a Gilbert and Sullivan musical that we went to last night
The Opera House at Leeds was beautiful and the setting, costumes etc amazing most impressed. P went for a job interview on Friday but didn't get it, then we both went to an agency and that morning a school had contacted them wanting a Business Manager and an exams officer.... we might end up at the same school again. Will find out Monday if they want to see us.
We went and watched the French play Wales and tomorrow the all blacks

Then this afternoon off to find a hockey team for P again. Lovely sunny day so we bused there and walked the 7.5 km back through parks and inner city villages. very pleasant. then out for dinner tonight at the Hummingbird. I had a very nice pumpkin crumble and P had a pork chop with black pudding. then he had a de-constructed lemon meringue cheesecake for dessert.

this chap is Baron Ruddigore.

Ah, deconstructed dessert, isn't that just the excuse for when they drop it on the floor as they take it out of the oven?
(From one with fondish memories of jam pie, and who's just made her first-ever batch of marmalade.)
