We had a lovely day It started with brunch with 4 kiwis, Glenda's ( my Dunedin friend ) son, his girlfriend ( ex OGHS student) and 2 of their flatmates. They had flown from London for the game, was odd having all the kiwi accents. I have no idea why this is underline and I can not get rid of it.
While we were eating a text came from Glenda that National had won the election and that Helen had resigned. Be an iteresting 4 years now with financial markets in a mess. Then they went sightseeing and we caught up with them again at Murray field for a beer and then we watched the game. That is me with my scarf, half all blacks and half Scotland that I bought on the way to the ground so not the best quality but nice to support both teams on one scarf!
The scottish had a lot of ball but made silly mistakes.
It was great to be at Murrayfield with the all blacks playing, masses of NZ shirts I think they must have come
from all over the UK.
from all over the UK. Itwas quite unreal to be on the other side of the world watching the ABs.
We then caught up with the others after the game ( the streets were closed to traffic all the way from the ground to the main street , amazing like closing the streets between Carisbrook and George St, masses of us walked to town like a march without the placards.
Then we found a turkish restaurant and had a lovely feed then dropped them at the hostel as they are off on a bus tour of the Highlands tomorrow.
P's birthday tomorrow so I am sure all those cards are on the way. This blog has been misbehaving so sorry about any wierd colours underlinings and spacing...
