A sunny Saturday in London

The day dawned warm and sunny and I had coffee in the lovely back yard at P and B's house.

Then off on another marathon bus.tube.tube journey to Portabello rd market over 2000 stalls according to the "London things to do" website. There were certainly a lot of them. Was tempted a couple of times but am trying to keep to my no shopping till I'm earning pledge.

After walking up and down past clothes second hand stuff, antiques and fruit we made it to Kensignton where there were some lovely posh houses.

Then we walked to Hyde Park and sunbathed with everyone else. Huge amount of green and nice ponds as well.
Very odd live "art" ,a huge stone bunker had been built in the little art gallery in the park and a group were inside playing trumpets, slide trombones and drums making a huge noise the gallery guards had ear muffs and I hope the artists did.

Thought of Shirl as they roller bladers went by.

Then walked through the park to Green park with a stop at the NZ memorial to the soldiers then more bus tube tube bus things to get home and nurse my blisters.
Off to Bristol tomorrow.
