The school was on holiday this week 2 days for the Queen's jubilee and the rest as spring break so I thought we should take advantage of the free time.
The four day weeked at the start of the break was wet and cold so we did not venture out much.

Saturday we did go to the village they filmed "Last of The Summer Wine" in. Started with a 5 mile walk around the area sadly started with a steep hill that we puffed out way up.
Went through lovely Yorkshire countryside down hills and up dales lots of stone fences and old buildings.
We had our picnic lunch on a bridge in a valley then continued passing through a really old quarry and the edge of the town. Ended the walk with a walk through the village identifying what little we could remember of the programme and ending with afternoon tea at Sid's cafe from the show.
The big day for street parties was Sunday and it rained all day so only those with marques were happy, I went for a walk and passed one that was doing all right.
Monday we went for a drink at the local beer garden and I had a pimms as my jubilee celebration.
