More from kiwi land

Dunedin put on lovely sunny weather and we prepared for graduation, Claire and I went to collect her robes and finally found out what colour hers
would be, lime and tangerine and it looked very nice. Getting the robes made it all seem a bit more real.
Graduation morning dawned sunny and blue and we headed off to the universi
ty to have photos taken then Claire and Blair headed off for the walk down the main street.

We met dad ( first drive to Dunedin for awhile) and had lunch finishing just on time for the arrival or the procession at the octagon.
Finally all into the Regent and the ceremony,a very smooth event. P was all ready to take the "cross the stage " photo and some one stood in front of him. ( we had to buy the official one)

More photos of the girl with the Masters degree, well done that girl.
After the ceremony we all went off to the after match function in tents on the First church lawn.

Then back to Claire's flat for a rest and then all out for dinner with friends and family, a lovely night was had by all.

We shopped, had lunch with Roy our veteran friend at Careys Bay ( see photo) and visited Dunedin friends.
Lovely meal and catchup with Glenda and Russell and their new lovely grand daughter.
A couple more days in Dunedin and then

we headed off to Wanaka with Claire and Blair for a couple of days. Great scenery lots of snow.

Sunny but
very chilly, we walked, played catch ( well tried to catch Blair's impressive throws. ate, read, and generally relaxed.

Then we headed off to the West Coast after a sad goodbye to Claire until next July when she and Blair move over to live in UK.

First stop was Fox glacier for the night, the rain was incredibly heavy overnight. Next day dawned blue skies and sunshine and stayed that way until we left NZ.
The coast was lovely, there was a huge number of diary farms and new farm houses.
Visit to the pancake rocks always nice.
Then to Greymouth for the night.

Next day we headed off to Nelson and tracked down the Tregurthas.

I have never visited there before and enjoyed having a potter about.

Next day Shirley arrived and we headed to Marahau on the fringe of the national park. Had a lovely couple of days there on the beach and walking in the park.
Back to Nelson and a visit to the wearable arts museum and then off again. We stayed the night in Kaikoura a motel right on the Bay, very nice. Stopped at a beach with lots of seals including cubs.

Then back to Christchurch and a catchup with family and then off to the airport and Uk.

Thanks to all those who made our stay so enjoyable and you are welcome to come stay with us.
