And about time to I hear you say, a long time and no blogging.

We are still in Bath and I am still the the School Development Manager and Perry is currently the Headteachers personal assistant, yes he does diary and letters but mostly at the moment he is sorting out redundancy and doing lots of researchy stuff for the Head.

The real head's PA had bunions operated on on both her feet so is off for a while.

He is quite enjoying it as it is full on work, you know all the things going on in the school ( even the secret stuff) and there is no teaching...

We are looking for a new flat as we are staying in Bath another year, we both wanted to move to "see more UK" but the job situation is dire over here and we are both working me all the time and him all year so far just in many jobs, so we will be sensible and stay.

We saw an immigration lawyer and she said that if we are settled and working it helps our case for residency a lot.

A new flat will be nice, I love this one especially being over the road from work, but the landlord wants to knock though the wall and extend their home. Our flat is the sunniest part of the whole house so I can certainly understand it. I will start looking soon and maybe get 2 bedrooms this time.... for you Linda H and my dad and anyone else who would like not to be sleeping on the lounge floor. A change of scenery if not a change in city.

Claire is flatting with 5 other two of her best friends and 3 boys. Their original flatmate found out that his pass rate was not good enough to continue at Otago but was good enough for Victoria so he moved to Wellington and Claire moved in, lucky break. She is currently trying to stay single...she has had offers but they all want commitments and to be a boyfriend and she is wanting some time off from that.

The spring bulbs are up and the first blossom has appeared so I am looking forward to some nicer weather.

We are off to the Isle of Wight next week for a 4 day holiday. Debbie and Steve are coming too and we are going on the train and the ferry then buses and walking on the island. We have a nice cottage to stay in. cottage ( link to cottage)

Hopefully the weather will be nice.

We haven't been out much Perry has hockey on Saturdays with not a lot of successes and then if the weather is nice we try to go for a walk or a visit out.

We went to Marlborough ( home of a very elitist school) and I had a wander about and he lost the hockey. He is captain this year and his team is not covering him in glory, he has had his photo in the paper 3 times though.. must like the look of him in full swing.

Lovely town beautiful old buildings and people in big range rovers and dressed in tweed. very horsey, hunting types on the streets.

Had a lovely meal out at a local gastropub and my iphone got me a voucher for one main course for free so that was nice.
