trees

T'is the mid term holiday and the staff and students are all away, just me and the caretakers.

We went for a bus trip yesterday to the Westerbirt Arboretum , the UK's biggest tree collection. I know what a life we lead, not only all those trees but it took over an hour on the bus to go hardly any distance as we went through lots of countryside in a wide loop. Lovely villages etc.

When we arrived the car park must have had 4-500 cars in it, all those mums trying to ente

rtain the kids during the holiday. Also lots of buses and photographers taking the autumn colours.

We were there for that also and made our way to the japanese maple grove which was wonderful, so much colour see link. Really needed an old person in a chair or a dog to fit in, thank goodness we had the camera, still gumboots would have helped us blends in as well.

It is dark by 4.30 now so we settle into the lounge and watch BBc on my laptop, I have the

school connection beamed to our lounge as our own one is too slow.

we think we might buy a car after all, with himself at hockey on Saturdays it only leaves Sundays to see the countryside and have a break, and the bus service is rubbish on a Sunday.

Something under £500 if we can find it.

I was walking down from Hockey field and came across pirates on the canal, see photos.

Tomorrow is hair cut day, I chose the salon as it had the best web advert, I fancy a hair style rather than just getting my hair cut which I have been doing up till now. I fancy some colour through it, maybe autumn leaf tones.

Talked to Claire today she is 21 on Saturday, wow , that came round quick, and has plans for a meal out with a group of friends, she has already had the party a couple of weeks ago. Only 4 weeks till we all meet up in Bali for 2 weeks holiday in the sun. yippeeeee. Only 1 exam to go and the first degree is finished.

better go cook tea now, hope you are all well and ready for a nice warm summer, think of us in the cold, ( we have a spare bed if you are missing the rain).
