It was a lovely sunny Sunday so we set the satnav and went to South
Queensferry where the queen used to get the boat to the Kingdom of Fife and various castles, Church's,
retreats etc as godfaring queens do.
She liked it so much that she sponsored a ferry so poor folk could go and hostels on each side for them to stay in.
It was a very historic, quaint town lots of old buildings still in use,
it was in the shade though as it was between the Forth and a big hill,
other Queensferry on the North bank was bathed in sunshine
The Forth rail bridge goes overhead and the road bridge is at the other end of town We popped into the museum and now know a lot more about building the bridges.
