Jane Austin

yes it that weekend again when people ( well mostly women) from all over the world come to Bath and dress up like people from Jane's books and parade about the town.
They have breakfasts, walks, dinners and dancing classes. And men on bicycles with wooden wheels and seats that are moved by walking.
Amazing to come across a period costumed shopper in the super market just wrong some how.

If that wasn't enough I came round a corner to find men in buckets.

Then I had my hair done and got some chocolate coloured streaky bits put in it!
just felt like a change and I have always been blonde and now I am blonde and brown!

Sunday I made home made chilli and tomato sauce and bottled it
took ages of chopping and cooking but by golly it is lovely.
Bought an Apple Iphone 4 and what a lovely thing it is so far I have a programme that shows me which stars I am looking at, the location and facilities at national trust properties in my area
( which changes as I move about,) it is a beautiful thing oh and the mail from work and home and calendars and all those thing even P is impressed and he was predisposed not to be. Photos courtesy of the phone)

school parent evening this week so all hands on deck then I have arranged a training day for all my support staff and 4 other schools then Thursday night we head off to Penzance for a weekend with Judy and Paul form NZ. Cant wait, even thought it is a 3 1/2 hour drive. Hilary gave us a penguin cd set of classical books so we will listen to one of the those on the way.

I must have missed the Jane Austen story about men with their heads on buckets! Certainly can't have been Sense and Sensibility.
